Position: Coffee Shop Manager (Central London)

Job Summary:

As a Coffee Shop Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the coffee shop's daily operations, from managing the staff to maintaining inventory and ensuring a pleasant customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Staff Management:

   - Hire, train, and schedule baristas and other staff members.

   - Set performance expectations and provide feedback to ensure high-quality service.

   - Handle employee issues, such as conflicts and disciplinary actions.

2. Customer Service:

   - Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

   - Resolve customer complaints and ensure exceptional customer service.

   - Train staff to provide product knowledge and friendly interactions.

3. Inventory Management:

   - Monitor and order product stocks and supplies as needed.

   - Maintain inventory records and control costs through efficient stock management.

4. Quality Control:

   - Ensure that beverages and food items meet quality and consistency standards.

   - Implement quality control procedures and provide ongoing training.

5. Financial Management:

   - Develop and manage the coffee shop's budget.

   - Track sales, expenses, and profitability.

   - Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

6. Marketing and Promotion:

   - Plan and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.

   - Create and manage promotions, events, and loyalty programs.

7. Health and Safety Compliance:

   - Ensure the coffee shop complies with health and safety regulations.

   - Implement and monitor food safety practices.   

8. Equipment Maintenance:

   - Oversee the maintenance of coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.

   - Arrange for servrepairs or replacements when necessary.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a managerial role in the food and beverage industry is preferred.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a passion for coffee.

- Familiarity with inventory management and budgeting.

- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

Working Hours:

To be agreed on an individual basis. Coffee shop managers often work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure coverage during peak times.

Salary

£30,000 per year

Annual bonus, health insurance after 6 months in position
