Job Summary:

As an experienced barista, you're the heart and soul of the coffee shop. Your role revolves around crafting exceptional coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and sharing your love for coffee with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coffee Preparation:

   - Expertly prepare a variety of coffee-based beverages.

   - Ensure that each cup of coffee meets high-quality standards in taste and presentation.

   - Experiment with latte art to create visually appealing drinks.

2. Customer Interaction:

   - Provide recommendations based on customers' preferences.

   - Engage in friendly conversations with customers, making them feel welcome.

3. Equipment Maintenance:

   - Regularly clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other coffee shop equipment.

   - Report any equipment issues promptly for repairs or replacements.

4. Menu Knowledge:

   - Stay up-to-date with the coffee shop's menu, including seasonal offerings.

   - Educate customers about different coffee menue options.

5. Quality Control:

   - Ensure consistency in coffee preparation techniques.

   - Taste-test coffee regularly to maintain quality standards.

   - Assist in training new baristas on coffee preparation techniques.

6. Speed and Efficiency:

   - Work efficiently during busy periods to minimize customer wait times.

   - Manage multiple drink orders and prioritize tasks effectively.

7. Cleanliness and Organization:

   - Keep the coffee station and work area clean and organized.

   - Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience as a barista in a coffee shop.

- Knowledge of main coffee bean types, roasting and brewing methods, and latte art.

- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to detail and a passion for coffee craftsmanship.

Working Hours:

To be agreed on an individual basis. Baristas typically have flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate coffee shop hours.

Salary:

£14 per hour,

Annual bonus, health insurance after 6 months in position
